Replicating an item to exact likeness of the original

Post  Rione on Mon Oct 05, 2009 4:31 am

This question and sort of debate came to mind while I was reading to a book

Plato stated in the book "How is a baker able to bake fifty identical cookies?" So my question for you guys are human beings capable of reproducing something to the exact likeliness of the original?

What exactly are we duplicating? ;o It all depends, really. If you try to duplicate a human being, you can't. Maybe if you were making like.. two cakes that looks the same, maybe. Though, you have to take in account of the circumference of the cake and where the icing is placed and such. If the cake has decorations and other things. You'd have to be very careful, and probably you'd still have imperfections with it.
Maybe if you were to cut cookies with a cookie cutter, just MAYBE.
I say no. :'D But prove me wrong.

I once ate 3 bowls of ramen that looked exactly the same, as well as 2 pizzas that looked exactly the same. O.o
